Christmas 2006

Our Christmas holiday was fantastic. As usual traffic built up considerably so shopping became a nightmare. I did most of my shopping in the run up to Xmas after 9pm when most shoppers were on their way home. The staff at MaxMart and Wrangler were great, but the Woodin chicks were so uptight shoppers felt like gatecrashers. Woolworths had nothing special for Xmas...

On Christmas Day at 06:00 our extended family made a pilgrimage to Maame Ama's house where we had prayers for our late Grandmother - Auntie. It was very moving and nice to see everyone again.

Afterwards I did a little shopping and distributed some X'mas gifts.

Jojo called at 2pm from Oklahoma to wish us a Merry X'mas.

At 16:00 we started our Xmas dinner. The food, drinks and company was brilliant. Angela's sister Ruth joined us and Wellington Cofie also stopped by. Christelle was at her finest with all sorts of pranks including pinching Mummy's turkey.

Alfred's Birthday cake was beautiful but he couldn't blow out the candles on his first two attempts - haha!!

After dinner we opened up our presents then Christelle and GrandPa took to the dancefloor. You better believe it, that three year old danced for an hour nonstop. Meanwhile Alabi played Scrabble solo. He wrote only one word - FO.

It was a very nice day. I have lots of pics.

Boxing Day, we took it easy. I went with Alabi to Vanessa's and helped set up one of Jordan's presents which Christelle promptly took over. We had turkey sandwiches for lunch.
